  I am getting disfellowshipped

  maybe some of you remember me, maybe not.

  for general information i am now 19 years old, and living by myself.

  for the past 1 year (more like 1.5 years) i have been quietly fading out of the hypocrisy of this organization, but since i still live in the town i grew up in it has been hard, and filled with different challenges.

  According to Governing Body member Geoffery Jackson in his testimony to the Royal Australian Commission, if a person leaves on his or her own accord and becomes inactive, they have disassociated themselves and the congregation doesn't pursue the matter unless they try to come back.

  I wouldn't go to the hearing. Perhaps you can send the video to the elder who is talking to you and point out the part he needs to listen to and let him know that's why you won't be attending the meeting.

  Later if they still pursue the matter with you, you could let them know that if there is any sort of announcement made about you or if they try to influence your family against associating with you, you'll be looking into what legal avenues are available for you to pursue.

  does anyone know why the written review was stopped?

  i relished the half hour silence they'd give you to "write down your answers", time i spend doodling or thinking up cool song lyrics..

  Back in the day my father was ministry school servant and I got to see the grades...and knew who was smart and who was stupid.

  Yes.....early on, we had to turn in our review sheets to our book study conductor (I think) or to the School Servant maybe. There was a certain amount of pressure to do well because someone was going to be evaluating you based on your score. When I got older, I remember realizing that there was noting they could do if I didn't turn my form in or for that matter, didn't fill it out at all !

  so according to the law department's meeting in feb 2016, russia has been studying the linguistics of the watchtower articles and discovered its brainwashing abilities!.

  lol it's funny now that i'm on the russian side of this debate now, ban them all!.

  It's a sad commentary that no one in an audience made up of high level Bible Students and self proclaimed Bible Authorities, knew that Jesus was the second most frequently found name written in the Bible.

  I also found it strange that although the speaker admitted that the decrease in the number of JW's in Russia was due to JW's fleeing persecution, there was no mention of how doing so, demonstrated how disloyal to the "brotherhood" and how lacking in faith in Jehovah and his "Mountain" these ones were. Weren't we always told that we needed to be prepared to band together and even die for our brothers during persecution against the organization ? These Russian JW's turned tail and ran, leaving their fellow JW's in the lurch.

  i'm really biting my tongue at the moment with a certain witness.

  he said he hates how the churches have lied to people, misled them, controlled them, got money out of them.

  gouge can he noht see the wts has done that, i really wanted to say something so badly.

  This reminds me of how some not so lovingly referred to the written review as the "rotten review". Our Congregation used to pass out these thin boards for you to lean on while you wrote your answers. Most of them had doodles scrawled all over them and things written on them (likely by teenagers) such as "AC/DC sucks Megadeth Rules !!"

  My New Year Present to Everyone

  i have lived in sedona arizona for over five years.

  we own the largest wine tour company here and take out more people to the vineyards in this area then anyone less.

  so my new years present to anyone (governing body members excluded) here that reads this thread is 2 free wine tours if you visit sedona.

  Former Bethelite who's a big fan of Sedona and the occasional glass of wine. I sat at the Governing Body table with Knorr , Ray and Fred Franz, Greelees , Sydlik and the rest, so I have a tale or two to tell.

  Do you have JW-related dreams (nightmares)?

  greetings, dreamers:.

  i guess it's never going away: daytime carryovers of jw-related stuff seeping into my dreams.. the majority of these dreams take place at conventions but with really weird trappings.

  last night i dreamed i arrived at the site with no books, no lunch, nothing but my car keys.

  As a kid I had Tribulation dreams that involved me frantically trying to figure out how I was going to save my little sisters if the "bad guys" threatened to harm them if I didn't renounce Jehovah.

  From time to time I still wake up with my heart pounding after dreaming that I had re-enlisted at Bethel. In the dream I'm at Bethel and realize that for some unknown reason I've stupidly quit my job and signed up to work there. At this point, there's no way to undo what I have done and there's no way to get out of this without bringing shame on myself and my family if I don't stick it out.
  

  It's such a relief to wake up and find out it was all a bad dream. I never knew anyone else had this same dream and it's very telling, that so many of us do.

  CL&M part Jan 4 - annual meeting service report - our outstanding experiences

  this was the first part in the "living as christians" section of the meeting tonight.

  speaker had two pioneers on the stage to relate their outstanding experiences for 2017. we have 23 pioneers and over 160 publishers in the hall.

  our territory is densely populated with single family houses, apartments and condominiums.

  One of the last assemblies I was at there was a very elderly sister on stage talking about her rich experiences as a Pioneer. Her tale was chock full of injuries from falls on the sidewalk, tumbling down stairways, car accidents, dog bites, car troubles and slips on ice because she vigilantly/stupidly went from door to door despite terrible weather conditions. She spoke about how much Jehovah had blessed her and helped her overcome these difficulties.

  My Son turned to me and whispered "Either this poor lady is super clumsy...or Jehovah isn't watching out for her at all"
